Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 carrot, small dice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 2.5 cups  water
Directions
  1. Melt butter over low heat, then add the onion and carrot.  Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add the salt and rice, and toast the rice for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the water, bring to boil, then simmer for 45 minutes.
  4. Fluff and eat!
